Dear Friends,
 
I will be heading out to Brazil tomorrow, June 7th.  This will be my 3rd trip this year. The purpose of this trip is to equip Brazilian Christian leaders in Salvador, BA, Brazil. I will also, be speaking at a banquet for couples June 8th and preaching four times Sunday, June 12th.   
 
My goal while in Brazil is the equipping and training of Brazilian Christian leaders utilizing the gifts that God has given me, along with the many years of experience. Ephesians 4:11-12 It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare/equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.
 
Do you know your spiritual gift?  Are you using it for others? 1 Peter 4:10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.

Pray for my safety as I travel, baggage, connections and sensitivity to opportunities to minister to others in route to Brazil. I will be in three airports, therefore many opportunities  will be awaiting me, as well as other passengers, who will be seated beside on the plane. I am reminded by the Scriptures that the mission field begins the moment you walk out the door of your home. Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in£ the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” We are to be ready to share Jesus Christ, the hope of the world with those that we come in contact in our daily routine, whether we travel, go to work, stay home, etc. 1 Peter 3:15 Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.

1 Peter 4:7 The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.

Prayer for Nancy as she stays home.  She has been a great encourager regarding my continued ministry to Brazil and others mission fields of the world.  She is not able to travel with me due to health limitation and the cost of travel.  In fact, she works part time at Macy’s, which is her mission field.  It is amazing how many natural opportunities she has with co-workers and customers.  She too, is using her gifts and talents at the work place, our home and church.
 
I will be sending a report later in the month regarding my time in Brazil.
